US Marshals Recover 45 Missing Children, Arrest 179 Human Trafficking Suspects in Operation ‘Autumn Hope’

U.S. Marshals recovered 45 missing children and arrested 179 suspects in a human trafficking bust, in conjunction with the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, in operation “Autumn Hope.”

After a month-long investigation involving more than 50 agencies, including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and Ohio state and local agencies, officers rescued 109 trafficking victims in total.

“Across southern Ohio, 76 missing and exploited children cases were cleared, including 45 by physical recovery by the U.S. Marshal’s Service,” the Ohio AG stated.

The victims were referred to social services, and multiple arrests were made, including a man who was holding two children in West Virginia.

Additionally, 20 children were located as authorities checked on their well-being…

US Marshals Recover 39 Missing Children, Deal Sex Trafficking Charges to Those Arrested

The U.S. Marshals Service on Thursday announced they have found 39 missing children in Georgia and dealt sex trafficking charges and more for the arrested individuals as part of an endangered missing children mission called “Operation Not Forgotten.”

Law enforcement officials rescued 26 children, safely located 13 other missing children in person, and arrested nine people as part of a two-week operation in August in the cities of Atlanta and Macon in Georgia.

“Investigators cleared 26 arrest warrants and filed additional charges for alleged crimes related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession, and custodial interference,” the federal agency announced in a release.

Director of the U.S. Marshals Donald Washington said in a statement: “The message to missing children and their families is that we will never stop looking for you.”…

‘Operation Find Our Children’: 27 Missing Kids Rescued in Virginia

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that U.S. Marshals recovered 27 missing children in Virginia following a five-day-long operation in the state…

“The Department of Justice is dedicated to protecting the most vulnerable children in our society and ‘Operation Find Our Children’ does just that,” said Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen in a news release. “While this Virginia operation is the most recent recovery of endangered and missing children led by the U.S. Marshals Service this year, we have also recovered more than 440 kids in Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana, and other states. Because of this initiative, the recovered children are now out of harm’s way.”

The DOJ noted that the U.S. Marshals are leading the way in a U.S.-wide effort to rescue and find missing or exploited children while aiding in the prevention of human trafficking…
